Roots In Radio

Long before Bouyonlakay Radio went online, I spent six years behind a microphone in the Dominican Republic. Those years trained my ear, sharpened my voice, and taught me how to hold a room, even when that room was invisible on the other side of a signal. Every show felt like sitting in the middle of a lively block, sharing stories, music, and news that kept people company through long days and late nights.

Tournaments And Trust

When I moved to Jersey City, I carried that radio passion with me, but I also carried a soccer ball. Organizing tournaments every six months started as a simple idea, a way to bring people out on a Sunday, to share food, music, laughter, and some serious competition. Over time, those tournaments became a meeting point where families, players, and fans knew they would feel respected, seen, and welcomed, whether they were chasing a trophy or just cheering from the sideline.

Culture, Inclusion, And Future

Bouyonlakay Radio stands on three values that guide every move I make, cultural connection, inclusivity, and digital innovation. I want listeners to hear their roots in the music and recognize their daily lives in the sports and news. Every voice matters, so my mic stays open to those who rarely get invited on air. By using online tools, live chat, and streaming, I give this community a station that feels modern while still carrying the soul of the neighborhood.

Joseph Thomas - Founder

My name is Joseph Thomas, and Bouyonlakay Radio comes from a dream I carried for years—to build a station that truly belongs to its listeners. I began shaping that vision in the Dominican Republic, where six years of radio hosting taught me how to guide conversations, balance music with information, and stay connected to people even in the middle of busy, everyday life.

After settling in Jersey City, the community became more than an audience, it became family. Bouyonlakay Radio brings that same energy online, blending music, sports talk, and curated news to connect everyday life with the wider world, built on culture, football, and honest storytelling.
